NATIONAL PATHWAY
There is no greater honor than representing your country on the national team. World Cup, Olympics and other International Competition is the beautiful game at its finest. The pathway to get there is not easy, but Legends FC has paved it.
NATIONAL PATHWAY
The best and most consistent pathway to national teams is available at Legends FC San Diego. This begins at playing Pre-ECNL at U11, ECNL at U13 and being invited to USYNT ID Center. Within the ID Centers, the USYNT teams are formed, and ultimately the path to the US National Teams.

Legends FC has developed 70 National Team players, and counting.

In 2024, three Legends FC San Diego players have been identified and invited to USYNT ID Centers.

The ECNL consistently produces the top players in the nation. For instance, 13 of the 23 players rostered on USWNT are ECNL alumni.
ECNL is the clearest and best path to showcase your talent and get exposure to national team scouts. Your goal should be to play ECNL from U13-U18 to maximize your exposure.
In addition to the US National Teams, ECNL and Pre-ECNL players get exposure to international federations through the ECNL Heritage Project, with hopes of playing for their countries of origin.

Competing in Pre-ECNL by U11 will increase your chances and opportunities for exposure. Pre-ECNL competition will prepare you to advance and compete in the ECNL.

PROFESSIONAL PATHWAY
In reality, less than 1% of players make it all the way to the professional ranks. This requires a combination of natural ability, outstanding training, proper exposure to scouts and a lot of individual commitment. For those with these aspirations, Legends FC does have the professional pathway.
PROFESSIONAL PATHWAY
Players who have the desire and ability to play professionally can start their path at Legends FC San Diego. This begins at playing Pre-ECNL at U11, ECNL at U13 and then being developed, identified and invited to train with professional academies, nationally or internationally.

The pathway to a professional career is through a professional club academy. Legends FC has entered into a strategic partnership with Chivas Guadalajara, one of Mexico's most prestigious soccer clubs.
Player Identification: Both clubs will work together to identify and develop top talent while creating training opportunities in Mexico for Legends FC players.
Exchanges: The player exchange between Legends FC and Chivas Guadalajara, on both the boys and girls youth programs, will allow athletes from both clubs to experience different training environments and coaching styles, fostering growth and development on an international level.
Tournaments and Exhibition Games: Joint participation in tournaments and exhibition matches to enhance competitive experiences for players.
Resource Sharing: Exchange of coaching methodologies, training programs, and other resources to elevate the standard of soccer at both clubs.
Legends FC and Chivas de Guadalajara have formed an exciting partnership to organize sporting events that aim to bring top-notch soccer experiences to fans and players alike.
This partnership will combine Legends FC’s renowned youth development programs with Chivas de Guadalajara’s storied history and prominence in the world of professional and youth soccer.
Together, we will provide unique sporting and educational opportunities for young athletes while learning from one of Mexico’s most prestigious clubs.
This collaboration not only strengthens the connection between the local soccer community and the international scene, but also promotes the sport’s growth and popularity in the region.

COLLEGIATE PATHWAY
Fewer than 10% of players have earn the opportunity to play college soccer. Playing at the next level is challenging, but the benefits of being a student athlete are tremendous relative to the sacrifice and dedication required. Legends FC has a proven track record of developing players to college level.
COLLEGIATE PATHWAY
Players who have the desire and ability to play college can start their path at Legends FC San Diego. This starts by playing Pre-ECNL at U11, ECNL or ECNL RL or E64 from U13-U18 which offer exposure, and the opportunity to be identified by college coaches at showcases.

VARSITY PATHWAY
90% of players finish their soccer careers in high school playing on their Freshman, JV or Varsity team. Some players aspire to play at the next level, however the majority are focused on competing on their varsity team in high school. Legends FC prepares players to have success in high school.
VARSITY PATHWAY
For many, the goal is to play high school soccer on Varsity, JV or Freshman teams. Legends FC prepares players to compete at all levels of CIF Soccer and believes playing for your high school is a great experience that all players should enjoy.

Nearly 100% of Legends FC players play varsity soccer during their high school careers.

ECNL is an elite league that prepares you for highest level soccer. Competing in ECNL will increase your chances of becoming a top tier varsity soccer player.

ECNL RL is an elite league that prepares you for high level soccer. Competing in ECNL RL from U13-U18 will increase your chances of playing multiple years of varsity soccer.

ELITE 64 is an advanced league that prepares you for high level soccer. Competing in E64 will increase your chances of playing varsity soccer.
REFEREE PATHWAY
Confident players can easily translate their love of the game by becoming a licensed referee. There is a shortage of referees and young players have a great opportunity to, not only close the gap, but make a great career or income. Legends FC supports players who are interested in the referee pathway.
REFEREE PATHWAY
We believe that every player has the right to develop and compete in a fair, fun and safe environment under the oversight of a licensed referee. That said, referees are in high demand and this is an opportunity for players to start a career before of after their playing career is over.

COACHING PATHWAY
Legends FC is focused on building confident and intelligent players with lifelong passion for the game. For those who love the game, it doesn’t have to stop when your playing days are over. Legends FC supports players who show interest in becoming a licensed coach and provide pathways for education.

U.S. Soccer offers Grassroots C, B, A Youth, A Senior and Pro Licenses for coaches who want to become a director or coach in higher levels of soccer. The objectives of these licenses are:
The U.S. Soccer C coaching course aims to support student coaches in developing competencies essential to lead programs for player and team development.
The U.S. Soccer B coaching course aims to support student coaches in developing the competencies essential to lead programs for players and team development.
The U.S. Soccer A Youth coaching course aims to support student coaches in developing the competencies essential to lead programs for players and team development and performance (U13- U19).
The U.S. Soccer A Senior coaching course aims to guide participants to develop competencies to perform in a coaching role in a high-performance senior team environment.
The U.S. Soccer Pro coaching course aims to prepare coaches to work as a head coach with a senior team at the highest level of national and international professional soccer.

U.S. Soccer offers Grassroots D and C Licenses for coaches who want to coach in youth soccer. The objectives of this license is to:

U.S. Soccer provides introductory online courses in the 4v4, 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11 formats. This is the first step in becoming a soccer coach.
